Spyder Club Spanish Season Starter!

2012 started with our pilgrimage to Spain and as usual we were quickly reminded why we do it each year, the roads! Add to that the Spyder Club fleet and a bunch of riders who are as enthusiastic about bikes as we are and you have motorcycling heaven.

The weather was perfect every day and each bike entertained in its own special way. We enjoyed it so much we have decided to run two further trips in November to bring the year to a close!

2012 Spanish Trip Testimonials:

‘Having been a biker for over 25 years, the Spyder club is a superb idea. I keep a few ‘sensible’ bikes at home and indulge in the more exotics bikes through the club. Many a time I have been tempted over the latest Ducati or KTM superbike, only to realise that it would not be suitable for City riding or used enough. The Spyder Club allows you to indulge in the excitement and passion of such bikes with like minded people. The part I like best is the club looks after the servicing, repairs, cleaning and depreciation, leaving me to enjoy the best part – riding them! Combined with their superb and well executed European trips and the ‘family’ style approach of Mark and Lizzi – I can see this becoming an invitation only club with a waiting list. Join now whilst you can.’

‘Any members who haven’t been to Spain (yet), book it. The trip exemplifies all that is good about biking; freedom, great roads, wonderful scenery and a great chance of good weather. What a way to start the biking year. And at the end of it my skills seem to have improved. Must have been Rich’s coaching skills, not that he was in view for long enough for us to experience anything. Also riding 3 or 4 bikes in a day is a real treat and really let’s you appreciate each bike for its different merits!’

‘What a fantastic trip, my 3rd one but definitely the best. Have just been reviewing some video I took of the road up to Ronda – I’d forgotten how much fun it was. Best bike was the Ducati Multistrada (I would say that as I own one) but the Triumph Daytona is such a great bike for these roads – as was the Street Triple I rode the first year. For me the surprise bike was the KTM RC8 not what I would expect to be good on tight twisty roads but it was really good. At the end of day riding on these roads with the fantastic selection of bikes the club has can’t fail to improve your riding and be fun. What a great way to start the year – looking forward to more trips. Will post some video soon to bore you all!’
